Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture Minzu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital (Class-A Grade-3)
Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture Minzu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is the first modern Class-A Grade-3 TCM hospital in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research and rehabilitation.
The hospital covers an area of 24 mu (16,000 square meters) and an area of business rooms of 25,900 square meters. There are 405 fixed beds, and 600 beds are actually open to the public.
There are 582 employees, including 70 professional technicians with senior professional titles, more than 200 with intermediate professional titles, and 60 with a master’s degree or above.
Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture People’s Hospital (the First Affiliated Hospital of Jishou University), established in 1952, is the only national Class-A Grade-3 general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation in the prefecture.
The hospital covers an area of 492 mu (328,000 square meters), with an area of business and auxiliary rooms of over 270,000 square meters. There are 23 functional departments, 85 clinical medical technology departments, 2,000 fixed beds and 3,000 beds that can be open to the public. Among a total of 2,640 in-service staff, there are 439 professional technicians with senior professional titles, 785 with intermediate professional titles, 272 with a doctoral or master’s degree, 3 with special allowances from the State Council, and 1 winning the International Nightingale Award.
Founded in 1995, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Tumor Hospital is a non-profit regional tumor hospital run by the government. There are 351 authorized personnel and 394 staff members, including 41 senior professional technicians and 96 intermediate professional technicians. There are 700 beds, with 460 beds actually open to the public.
Xiangxi Maternal & Child Health Care Hospital is not only a prefecture-level center for maternal and child health care, family planning technology, scientific research as well as training and guidance, but also a prefecture-level specialized health care medical institution integrating health care and medical care for women and children.
Jishou People’s Hospital (Class-A Grade-2)
Jishou People’s Hospital, founded in 1970, is situated at No. 73, North Renmin Road in Jishou City with convenient transportation. The 17-storey new inpatient complex covers a business room area of 30,000 square meters with 645 employees working in it. It is a comprehensive hospital integrating medical and health care, scientific research and teaching, prevention and health care and first aid. It is also a Class-A Grade-2 hospital.
