Third People’s Hospital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture established

The Third People’s Hospital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture was unveiled as the second name of the Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture Cancer Hospital on the morning of September 2.

The Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture Cancer Hospital, established in 1988, is the only Grade 2A specialized tumor hospital in Xiangxi. Now, it has over 20 clinical medical technology departments including head and neck tumor radiotherapy, minimally invasive intervention, and medical nursing center. It has more than 30 large and medium-sized advanced medical devices such as Elekta Infinity linear accelerator, fully-automatic digital X-ray photography system, and superconducting magnetic resonance imaging.

The hospital innovatively provides characteristic services integrating eldercare with medical care, fully explores and utilizes the resources of medical treatment alliances, and serves people of Xiangxi and surrounding areas, gradually becoming an influential tumor treatment specialty hospital in the border areas of Hunan, Hubei, Chongqing, and Guizhou.
