Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway goes through Xiangxi from north to south, passing Yongshun County, Guzhang County, Jishou City, Luxi County and Fenghuang County successively.
Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua High-speed Railway was put into operation on December 6 of 2021, indicating that Xiangxi entered Changsha’s “2-hour economic circle” and a “high-speed railway era”.
Aviation:
As a 4C branch line airport for domestic tourism, Xiangxi Biancheng Airport is located at Laotianping Village of Huayuan County. To be specific, it is 10 kilometers away from the county seat of Huayuan in the northwest and about 30 kilometers away from the center of Jishou City in the southeast.
In August 2022, the road project of Xiangxi Biancheng Airport was completed and passed the acceptance inspection, which accelerated the construction of the airport. The maiden flight in Xiangxi Biancheng Airport is expected to be made by the end of 2022 according to the construction schedule.
There are Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, Huaihua Zhijiang Airport and Tongren Fenghuang Airport near Xiangxi.
Highways:
G209, G319 and S1828 play an important role in the transport of Xiangxi.
As part of Hangzhou-Ruili Expressway, Changde-Jishou Expressway was open to traffic at the end of 2008. It passes Changde, Taoyuan, Yuanling, Baisha, Luxi and Jishou in Hunan Province.
Waterways:
In Xiangxi, the Yuanjiang River and the Youshui River are two inland waterways above grade VI. There are inland ports in Luxi and Baojing.
