Biancheng Airport opens new flights

At 10:14 am on March 31, Flight DR6547, taking off from the Changshui International Airport in Kunming City of Yunnan Province, landed at the Biancheng Airport of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, marking the opening of direct flights among Kunming, Xiangxi, and Shenyang. This route operates every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. The flight takes off at 8:50 from Kunming Changshui Airport, stops at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport at 10:30, and arrives at Shengyang Taoxian Airport at 16:00. And then it returns from Shenyang at 19:20, stays at Xiangxi at 22:50, and arrives in Kunming at 01:15 the next day. Currently, the Biancheng Airport has opened flights to Beijing Daxing Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Ningbo Lishe Airport, Kunming Changshui Airport, and Shenyang Taoxian Airport.

Meanwhile, the airport also welcomed the first passenger plane from Shanghai, and ceremonies such as passing through a water gate were held to celebrate the aviation connection between the two places. This route operates every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It departs from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 18:40 and arrives at Xiangxi Biancheng Airport at 21:10. And it returns from Xiangxi at 21:55 and arrives at Shanghai at 00:10 the next day. The airport will gradually open routes to major hub airports in cities such as Chengdu and Xi’an, as well as some branch airports in Hunan.

The Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, which was once isolated by mountains, has gradually built an efficient and convenient multimodal transportation pattern with the opening of more new routes.

Xiangxi is making efforts to strengthen its close connection with the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan city group, Wuhan metropolitan area, as well as Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, and search for support from the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Starting from March 31, Xiangxi Biancheng Airport began the 2024 summer and autumn flight schedule, and will also launch multiple promotional activities together with airlines.
