With the opening of Zhangjiajie-Huaihua High-speed Railway, Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway, and Changde-Yiyang-Changsha High-Speed Railway, more and more tourists take high-speed trains to visit the Western Hunan. To further facilitate passengers’ travel, the railway department has launched “Changsha-Fenghuang Ancient Town-Zhangjiajie” packaged train tickets for tourists since October 16.
One of the packaged tickets launched this time includes one ticket of a second-class seat for each of three sections, namely, “Changsha South Railway Station-Fenghuang Ancient Town Railway Station”, “Fenghuang Ancient Town Railway Station -Zhangjiajie West Railway Station”, and “Zhangjiajie West Railway Station-Changsha South Railway Station”, with a price of 387 yuan. Compared with ordinary segmented ticket purchases, the price is slightly lower.
“Simply put, after purchasing this ticket, passengers can a take second-class seat on any high-speed train operating within the designated section, and it is valid within 9 days after passengers take the first train,” said Yin Siwei, a manager of the Zhangjiajie West Railway Station.
It’s much simpler to purchase and use this ticket, with the numbers of times of purchasing, changing, and refunding tickets reduced. Passengers can flexibly make a plan for their itinerary, as they can choose to take any high-speed train within designated sections according to their personal needs.
Tourists can choose to book seats on any train between the corresponding stations on the 12306 website, the “Railway 12306” mobile app, and ticket vending machines, or directly tap the original valid ID card used to purchase the ticket and enter the station to obtain a seat. The seat information will be sent to the reserved mobile phone number via SMS.
“If passengers do not use the packaged ticket within 30 days after buying it, the ticket will automatically become invalid and a full refund will be issued. Passengers must use it at the designated departure and arrival stations, and are not allowed to get on or off at intermediate stations and beyond designated stations. If they do not take the reserved train, they can cancel the reservation at any time before departure, otherwise it will be considered as a train ride and their number of rides will be deducted,” said Yin Siwei.
