The second Hydrangea Festival was held at the Sacred Phoenix Culture Scenic Area in Nanhua Mountain of Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on June 1, attracting many tourists and photographers to appreciate 100 mu (about 6.67 hectares) of blooming hydrangeas.
The scenic area created a romantic landscape with clusters of hydrangea flowers, allowing citizens and tourists to enjoy a dreamy summer.
“The mountains and flowers in the scenic area blend together. The hydrangeas under the trees delight people. They are pretty beautiful, different from the hydrangeas next to the Erhai Lake, which are all planted in small courtyards and by streams,” said a Guangdong tourist.
Hydrangea blooms from May to August every year. It symbolizes hope, loyalty, eternity, happiness, and reunion.
