Town government-enterprise cooperation helps increase farmers’ income

A truck loaded with more than 2,500 kilograms of kiwifruit departed from Duanlongshan Town of Guzhang County for Changsha Xiaoguang Group on September 12.

“Xiaoguang Group purchased more than 2,500 kilograms of kiwifruit from us this year, with an order amount of 50,000 yuan. At the same time, it placed an order for August melons worth 70,000 yuan, which has driven 12 large growers in Duanlongshan and Hongshilin towns to increase income,” said Peng Yanfu, a liverstreamer of Duanlongshan Town. In recent years, Duanlongshan Town has continuously optimized the business environment and improved government services for better development of the enterprises across the town. Meanwhile, it has strengthened cooperation with enterprises to promote agricultural development.

“In 2022, Xiaoguang New Materials settled in Guzhang County for its beautiful scenery, high-quality agricultural products and favorable business environment,” said Deng Yonghui, chairman of the company. They visited agricultural industry bases of kiwifruit and vine tea and e-commerce livestreaming bases at villages, and talked with livestreamers to seek new paths for agricultural development.

This year, Xiaoguang Group has helped sell such agricultural products as tea, yellow peaches, and kiwifruit. Next, it will leverage its own resource advantages to expand the sales of agricultural products and boost rural revitalization.
